Job Description
Position: CNC Machinist
Location: Portland Metropolitan Area
Pay: $25–$35+/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-time, long-term, permanent

Opti Staffing is proud to partner with some of the finest locally owned and operated companies in the Portland Metro Area. Our current opening is with a well-established CNC job shop specializing in lathe and mill work, producing a wide variety of precision parts across multiple industries.

What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC Vertical Mills to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric specifications
- Interpret blueprints and ensure precision machining
- Serve as a technical resource for tooling and machining capabilities
- Evaluate and recommend new tooling and machining processes
- Communicate issues related to work orders, programming errors, or materials
- Focus on reducing material waste, labor inefficiencies, and scrap
- Perform minor machine maintenance per preventive maintenance schedules
- Participate in ongoing training (ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, teamwork)

What You Need to Have:
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience
- High School Diploma or Trade School certification
- Strong attention to detail and quality
The Musts:
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
- Experience with CNC Vertical Mills
- Ability to read and interpret inch and metric blueprints
Preferred:
- Experience in a job shop environment
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
