Job Description
Position: CNC Lathe Setup Machinist
Location: NE Portland, OR (Marine Drive area)
Pay: $25+/hr DOE
Schedule: Day Shift Available

Opti Staffing is working with a well-established precision manufacturing company in NE Portland. This team specializes in high-quality machining and production, offering a stable work environment with opportunities to grow your skills in CNC operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes for production runs
- Load materials and ensure proper machine operation
- Make offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Perform basic inspections using measuring tools
- Work closely with team members to meet production goals

What You Need to Have:
- Experience running CNC lathes
- Basic understanding of machining processes

The Musts:
- 2+ years of CNC lathe experience
- Ability to set up and run machines with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and work ethic
Preferred:
- Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code or conversational)
- Experience in a production or job shop environment
- Familiarity with tight tolerance machining
