A local company is looking to add a bookkeeper to their growing team! The Bookkeeper reports to the Owner and is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required.
-Education (combined 7 years’ experience between education/work experience)
-Prefer knowledge of Sage but willing to train the right person
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
-Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
-Ability to work well with internal and external contacts
-Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
-Full cycle AR/AP
-Code and enter invoices (vendor and expense) using correct GL numbers
-Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies
Run checks to pay vendors and expenses
Updating/understanding the GL – preparing journal entries for fixed assets, depreciation, etc.
Run monthly trial balance and adjust accordingly
Provide owners with monthly financial reports – balance sheet, income statement, equity, etc.
Banking needs – prepare bank deposits, reconciling bank statements
Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes
Maintain required business documents
Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
Calculate pay and issue payments to employees
Perform other related duties as may be requested by owner
