What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Boat Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine maintenance, repair, and servicing of various types of boats. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, performance, and longevity of our fleet, while providing exceptional service to our clients.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of boats, including engines, electrical systems, and hulls.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems to ensure timely repairs.
- Conduct inspections to assess the condition of boats and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Install and service marine equipment, including navigation systems, safety gear, and communication devices.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and any warranties or service agreements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing all tasks.
- Communicate effectively by explaining repairs, maintenance procedures, and costs.
What You Need to Have:
- Proven experience as a boat technician or in a similar role within the marine industry.
- Auto mechanic experience may be transferrable
- Ability to understand boat systems, including engines (outboard and inboard), electrical systems, and plumbing.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools specific to marine maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
