Automotive Service Manager
Location:Â SE Portland, OR
Pay: $60k + commission & bonus
Hours: Open from 7am-6pm | Hours flexible, 8hr shifts | Mon-Fri
Who we are:
We are a highly regarded automotive repair shop located in Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA. We provide full-service auto repair. We are looking for an apprentice or technician to join our team.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage service department employees, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff, to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service experience, from appointment scheduling and vehicle drop-off to final vehicle delivery, by maintaining open communication and delivering exceptional service
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departmental managers to ensure efficient coordination and communication between departments
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and dealership policies related to service department operations, including safety, environmental, and customer service standards
- Provide guidance, training, and support to service department employees to improve performance, develop skills, and enhance career growth opportunities
- Monitor service department performance through the use of key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action as needed to improve results
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping to minimize loss and promote profitability
- Develop and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to promote service department business and increase revenue
Requirements:
- Degree or certification in automotive technology, business administration, or related experience
- 5+ years of experience managing an automotive service department or related operation
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of automotive service management software
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
