Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Auto Cad Forming & Shoring Detailer for a major wholesaler/distributor of construction supplies will have the responsibility for preparing working drawings and layouts of forming and shoring systems from specifications and prior layouts.
Duties Include:
- Prepare concrete structure and formwork and shoring drawings for assigned projects.
- Prepare the design and detailing for forming and shoring systems.
- Utilize pre-engineered tables, graphs and data to design formwork layouts.
- Make corrections, revisions and changes to layouts as directed.
- Draft concrete formwork working drawings according to current drafting standards.
- Coordinate and work in conjunction with other designers laying out or detailing same or related structures.
- Visit job sites as required to assist in lay-out, use and re-use of forming and shoring systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
- Proficient in AutoCad 2010 or later
- Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to comprehend civil/structural contract drawings
- Detail oriented and organized
- Able to complete deadlines
- English language reading and writing proficiency
- Proficient math skills
- Able to sit and work on a computer
- Positive, professional attitude with pleasant personality
- Problem-solving and prevention
- Sense of personal responsibility
- Must be able to pass drug and background test
Preferred Requirements:
- Building products/hardware/construction experience preferred
- Associates Degree (two year college or technical school) or equivalent experience
