OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING
Opening: Auditor
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $88,000-$110,000 per year

COMPANY INFO: Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a leading financial institution to fill the position of Auditor within their Audit Section.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As an Auditor with our client's esteemed financial institution, you will assume a pivotal role in evaluating and reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, banking, and IT operations, as well as regulatory compliance. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Overseeing, directing, and conducting internal audits within your assigned area of responsibility.
  2. Reviewing and approving audit level risk assessments, making recommendations regarding areas to audit, scheduling, and auditing priorities.
  3. Monitoring the effectiveness of audit coverage, identifying potential areas of risk exposure, and verifying the effectiveness of audit programs.
  4. Preparing audit programs based on evaluation of internal controls, operational efficiency, and compliance with policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and security.
  5. Performing audits in accordance with audit programs, preparing detailed audit work papers, and preparing audit reports including findings and recommendations.
  6. Reviewing new operating procedures to ensure adequate controls and audit requirements are incorporated.
  REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Four years of progressively responsible internal audit or related experience, or six years of progressively responsible audit or related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
  • Knowledge of bank operations, bank regulatory issues, and electronic data processing methods and controls.
  • CIA, CISA, or CFSA eligibility.
  • One-year lead or supervisory experience in audit.
Preferred:
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CFSA, CISA, CFE.
  • One year of supervisory or management experience in internal audit.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information, frequent deadlines, and successfully manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present information to various stakeholders.
