Opening: Assembler / Engineering Tech (3–6 Week Assignment, Possible Extension)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Position Summary:
Under immediate supervision, you will assemble, install, and modify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the production of sweeper units. This role also provides direct support to the Engineering team by carrying out detailed build plans, performing wire-harness work, and assisting with engineering change requests.
Essential Functions:
- Experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, wire-harness production, or similar hands-on assembly roles.
- Support the Engineering team by following detailed instructions, build plans, and engineering change notices
- Perform wire-harness assembly, including routing, terminating, reworking, labeling, and updating harness configurations
- Build and modify parts to support engineering updates and product improvements
- Rework existing inventory, troubleshoot build issues, and update components as required
- Prepare chassis for unit installation, including bumpers, broom assemblies, lift blocks, and mounting brackets
- Assemble and install sweeper vacuum-head systems
- Complete basic electrical wiring tasks involving warning lights, work lights, and side-marker lighting
- Assist with final unit assembly, including fenders, mud flaps, toolboxes, access doors, and various unit options
- Operate drills, riveters, hydraulic crimpers, and a variety of manual and powered tools
- Modify parts to fit various truck chassis configurations
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and manuals
- Use standard hand tools, electrical tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
- Accurately measure and perform basic math during assembly tasks
- Operate a forklift and overhead crane when necessary
- Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal oversight while maintaining quality standards
- Meet production timelines, prioritize tasks, and work overtime or weekends as needed to support schedules

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- Minimum 3 months of assembly, automotive, electrical, or wire-harness experience
- Mechanical aptitude with strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and engineering direction
