Aerospace Programmer 
Location: NE Portland, OR Area
Pay: $38 - $40 per hour
Hours: Full Time

What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Programmer (CNC/Lathe Machines) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of CNC programming, and a track record of success in aerospace manufacturing. This position requires someone who is dependable, works well with others, and can troubleshoot, set up, and optimize CNC machines for precision aerospace parts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
·  CNC Programming: Create, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs for lathe and mill machines, ensuring the highest level of precision and efficiency.
·  Set-up & Operation: Set up CNC machines and ensure they run according to specifications, making any necessary adjustments during the process.
·  Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to create the necessary programs and tooling.
·  Quality Control: Perform inspections of parts during and after machining to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and customer specifications.
·  Collaboration: Work closely with machinists and production staff to ensure a smooth workflow and quality output.
·  Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to CNC programming, tooling, and processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
·  Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance to keep the equipment running at optimal levels.

What You Need to Have:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming and machine operation, specifically with lathe and mill machines.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code, etc.) and relevant software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated experience with precision measurements and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
