Opening: Accounting Technician / AP/AR Specialist
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay: $20 - $25 PH W/ Benefits

As our business continues to grow, we're seeking a skilled Accounting Technician / AP/AR Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in managing our financial transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable and receivable. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare and issue invoices, follow up on late payments, and handle payment discrepancies and disputes.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and closings.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial procedures, workflows, and controls.
- Manage vendor and client relations, ensuring all financial transactions are handled professionally.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial data.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, specifically in accounts payable and receivable.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to multitask.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and adaptable team player with a positive attitude.
