Opening: Accounting Specialist
City: NW Portland, OR
Pay: $60-65k (28.85-31.25/hr.)
Schedule: M-F Day 8am-4:30pm
Who We Are:
Leading the genre of decorative window film treatments since 1995, our client has been crafting thoughtful, art-inspired window films for over a quarter century. They are looking to add an experienced and collaborative accounting specialist to their team!
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with Sales Order Processing and invoicing
- Assist with reviewing daily inventory transactions, month end inventory postings and reconciliations
- Manage AP document flow and processes
- Daily Processing of accounts payable invoices and credit memos
- Process weekly A/P check runs
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger to general ledger
- Process annual 1099’s
- Prepare and Post Pre-paid accruals, AP month end journal entries as well as other assigned month end journal entries
- Review and Reconcile job specific and other assigned Balance Sheet accounts as well as provide explanations for related P&L account variances
- Backup accounts receivable as well as review EDI systems data flow and postings
- Sales Tax Reconciliation
- Examines and verifies bank statements and reconciles statements with internal ledgers
- Data entry and reconciliation to source for invoice to payment reconciliation of manual suppliers like Amazon Seller Central
- Backup for A/R and Vendor Correspondence
- Serves generally as back-up to co-workers as needed
- Performs other special assignments or administrative functions as assigned

What You Need to Have:
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with Sage100 or other ERP (SAP)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting rules
- Minimum two years’ experience reviewing and reconciling physical inventories to general ledger
- Advanced Excel skills, such as formatting, filtering, Pivot Tables and advanced formulas
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Fluent in Vietnamese would be a huge plus!
