Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (no remote)

Summary:
The Accounting Assistant II will process miscellaneous accounting duties, filing and support. Ideal candidate skills include:

Major Responsibilities:
- Review tenant activity in Boston Post and ResMan for accuracy.
- Post rent corrections or adjustments as needed in Boston Post and ResMan.
- Prepare & post various journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Reconcile several general ledger detail accounts
- Provide support to Community Managers
- Assist with posting Payroll journal entries
- Accounts payable functions to include coding and entering invoices and setting up checks
- Communicate via telephone and email with property managers and vendors as needed
- Coordinate with community managers and accounts payable to determine cash balance
- Complete 1099 forms per IRS regulations
- Complete personal property tax returns
- Assist with obtaining, processing, and recording real property tax statements for payment.
- Prepare and file WBar Reports.
- Assist with filing Unclaimed Property Reports, preparing OHCS Reports, gathering of annual audit documents, RD year-end reporting
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or 2-3 years of related experience; Combination of education and experience
- Ability to understand Debits and Credits
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, etc)
- SAGE experience a plus!
- ResMan Experience a plus!
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively in front of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and create graphs using Excel
