Staff Accountant/ Bookkeeper with Tax Prep Experience
Opti Staffing is working with a public accounting firm centrally located in Vancouver and looking for an experienced staff accountant to join their growing office. They are a small firm with opportunities for advancement for the qualified candidate. They are seeking a professional with strong technical and communication skills and who enjoys challenging projects. Their clients are primarily small to middle market privately held businesses and their owners. They provide tax, assurance, and business consulting services to a diverse group of clients in a wide variety of industries, many of which are in the construction industry. Their firm highlights teamwork, work-life balance and the opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities:
Location: Vancouver, WA
Wage: $55k - $60k per year
Hours: M-F 8/8:30 - 5/5:30 *during tax season there may be an occasional Saturday

Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual and business tax returns, (1040, 1120s, 1065)
- Some bookkeeping, payroll tax, sales tax and other monthly work
- Reconcile client GL accounts
- Identify bookkeeping issues and solutions
- Effectively prioritizing and managing time
- Work independently and excellent problem-solving ability
- 2+ years’ experience, preferably in public accounting
- Proven work experience preparing individual and business tax returns
- Thorough knowledge of accounting practices and bookkeeping procedures
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Expertise with computers including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred, not required)
- Lacerte tax software experience preferred
- CPA or CPA candidate a plus (not required)
