Position: AP Specialist
Location: Beaverton, OR
Pay: $25+ per hour DOE
Schedule: Full-time

What You’ll Do:
As a Accountants Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable for their construction projects.
- Processing monthly subcontractor pay applications and ensuring timely payment.
- Handling invoices and expenses, coding per project or account.
- Supervising subcontractor payments to suppliers, securing lien waivers, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Monitoring subcontract agreements, insurance certificates, and W-9s.
- Collaborating with project managers and contractors to track project costs and billing accuracy.
- Liaising with vendors to reconcile billing discrepancies.
- Conducting year-end reporting such as 1099s and assisting with year-end tax preparation.
- Maintaining spreadsheets for financial analysis and assisting with project financial inquiries.
- Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accurate transaction records.
- Performing project end close and reconciliation entries.
- Supporting compliance with accounting procedures and analyzing job cost estimates.
- Preparing reports using both manual methods and computer software.
- Filing accounting information electronically and in paper format.
- $25+ per hour DOE

- 2-year or 4-year college degree, in accounting preferred. Relevant working experience will also be considered.
- Experience in accounting
- Proficiency in Online or accounting software.
- Microsoft Office skills - Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Customer service skills to maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Previous experience in construction accounting.
- Familiarity with project management and cost tracking software.
