AP/AR Clerk
Location: SE Portland, OR Area
Pay: $20 - $22 per hour
Hours: Part Time/Full Time

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.

What You’ll Do:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Your key responsibilities will include:
- Match invoices to corresponding Purchase Orders and accurately enter vendor invoices in the accounting system.
- Process weekly check runs, one-off check payments, and post ACH payments daily.
- Ensure correct matching of customer deposits and payments to Sales Orders and Invoices; enter customer invoices and payments in the accounting system daily.
- Run daily credit card transactions, deposit checks, and reconcile customer receipts.
- Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to internal staff.
- Perform regular scanning, filing, and maintain electronic filing systems.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records; process customer terms requests in a timely manner.
- Assist with collections and coordinate special billing and collections via PayPal with the design team.
- Post Shop debit card purchases into the accounting system and manage multiple email accounts for communication with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Complete vendor document requests (W9s, COIs, etc.), manage petty cash, and handle freight billing.
- Reconcile bank accounts, maintain office equipment, and manage year-end office cleanup and document shredding.
- Provide backup support for the accounting team and our subsidiary company.
- Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Perform other routine accounting duties as needed in a fast-paced environment
What You Need to Have:
- Proven accounting experience and capabilities
- High level of data accuracy and attention to detail
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
- Experience with MS Dynamics and/or QuickBooks Online a plus
- Excel experience
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Aptitude for numbers and good math skills
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks in a timely manner
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Highly organized
- Quick learner
- Able to work well independently or in a team
- Comfortable with online training
- Good with technology
