COMPANY INFO:
Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a leading electrical supply distributor that supports residential, commercial, and industrial projects. With a strong national presence and a reputation for excellence, this company is looking to grow its Anchorage team with a detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Process and reconcile vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Create sales registers, debit memos, and manage returns
- Review, approve, and process sales and vendor documents
- Handle customer payments (cash, check, credit card) and prepare deposits
- Manage petty cash and balance charge accounts
- Maintain accurate customer account records and resale certificates
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer emails
- Assist with daily reports, recordkeeping, and document retention
- Support occasional purchasing and administrative tasks as needed
- Process freight claims and vendor credits
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in AP/AR, data entry, or clerical roles
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred; willingness to learn proprietary systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and high level of confidentiality
