CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Programming Support
Location: South Metro Portland Area
Compensation: $30–$35/hr. DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

As a CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Programming Support team member, you'll work directly with the Programming Manager and serve as the connection between Engineering, Programming, and the Production Floor.
Responsibilities include:

Support and monitor first-run ("pilot") CNC programs during production startup.

Make programming adjustments to improve cycle times, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

Work closely with machinists, setup technicians, and production personnel to troubleshoot machining and programming issues in real time.

Update Mastercam programs, setup sheets, tooling information, and documentation to reflect process improvements.

Assist with troubleshooting machining, tooling, fixture, and programming challenges.

Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve production processes and reduce downtime.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.

Previous CNC programming experience using Mastercam, or a strong programming aptitude with a willingness to learn.

Experience working with CNC mills and/or lathes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both programmers and machinists.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
