Location: Sherwood, Oregon
-
- Day Shift: 6am – 2:30pm
- Swing Shift (5% shift differential): 2:30pm – 11pm
- Voluntary OT, w/cash & gift incentive for people who pick up OT!
Who We Are:
Local manufacturing company that engineers and manufacturing equipment for heavy lifting and material handling for the last 45 years is looking to hire! This company is proud to buy and make all of its products in the United States.
What you will do:
Assists burning department. Grinds and chips workpiece to groove, bevel, round, or straighten edges. Removes excess stock from plate steel as specified by drawings, job orders, or guidelines. Removes defects such as; shrink cracks and holes
Qualifications:
- Entry level, 0 – 1 year’s general labor, experience working in a shop preferred
- Ability to work with hand-tools, power tools, grinders, cutters to remove and straighten edges.
- Must be able to position workpieces such as; plate steel and large gears, manually and/or operate jib crane
- Positions workpiece such as; plate steel and large gears, manually or by using jib crane.
- Must be able to work with grinding wheel or cutting chisel into portable grinder or power hammer.
- Climbs large assemblies to remove metal from improperly fabricated parts at direction of Fitter or Welder Fitter.
