Our manufacturing facility is located in Oregon, flanked by the coast range on the west and the Cascade Mountains on the east. They began as a supplier of group operator air break disconnects. Their product line has evolved to include motor operators, ground switches, surge suppression resistors, unitized phase-over-phase designs, to mention a few. 

What you'll do:
A welding team member plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and fabrication process. Responsibilities include performing layouts, fittings, and welding fabricated & forged components to assemble structural forms such as switch bases, frames, and other components in the product line.
The primary welding process involves MIG welding (hardwire with shielding gas) on black steel (A36/A500). Weld beads are generally 5/16" in size (fairly large), with minimal work on light-gauge materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct lay outs & position, align, and fit & fabricate metal components
  • Clamp and tack-weld parts to secure position for welding
  • Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc or gas welding equipment
  • Document and record work completed and materials scraped or rejected 
  • Ensure the quality or parts being produced by checking specifications and material quality along with operating functionality
