Welcome to our 62+ senior community in Tacoma, WA, where we emphasize friendship, security, and comfort. Our six-story building offers 151 spacious apartments with easy access to shopping and medical facilities. Residents enjoy amenities like a community room, hobby shop, art studio, library, computer center, and more. We also provide a beauty salon, a nurses’ station with basic services, and a dining room with daily dinner and an à la carte lunch menu. Plus, our mini bus and engaging activities keeps our residents connected and active.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a cook for a large retirement community, your primary responsibility is to prepare and cook meals for the residents, ensuring their dietary needs and preferences are met with high-quality, nutritious food. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient food preparation process. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and placing food orders with vendors. This includes assessing inventory levels, selecting appropriate products, and ensuring timely delivery of ingredients and supplies.

- Floating schedule- Weekend availability required
- 8-hour shifts
- $25/hour
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a kitchen manager position
- Experience with ordering ingredients and checking inventory levels
- Ability to create meals for large groups
- Flexible schedule
- Current Food Handlers License is required
- Clean background check
- Clean drug test
