Position: Coating Prep Technician
Location: Vancouver, WA
Pay: $20-22/hour (Depends on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time

What You’ll Do
As a Coating Prep Tech, you’ll play a key role in preparing metal surfaces for powder coating and painting. Your work ensures that each product meets quality standards before it moves on to final coating.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean and otherwise prepare steel, aluminum, and other metal surfaces for coating
-
Inspect materials for defects, rust, oil, or other contaminants prior to coating
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area

Assist in general shop support and production as needed

What You Need to Have

Basic mechanical skills and a strong work ethic

Attention to detail and quality

Ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly

Willingness to learn and take direction

Good time management and communication skills

Familiarity with hand and power tools
Preferred Experience:

Experience in surface prep, sandblasting, or metal finishing

Background in industrial painting or powder coating

Knowledge of masking and racking techniques
